2020 Vision Begins Now
Can you believe that we are less than 24 hours away from a 2020 vision? I can hardly wait for the ball to drop and we welcome in the New Year! This year has incredible significance in our lives because of 2020. I believe it symbolizes that God wants us to have a 2020 vision with clarity, precision, and clear focus.
Vision experts say 2020 vision is used “to express normal visual acuity (the clarity or sharpness of vision) measured at a distance of 20 feet.” In reality, our vision should be 2020 but many of us wear contact lenses and glasses to correct the places our vision has flaws.
Our visual aids help to repair our vision. Thus, nearing us to 2020 as much as possible. But, for the purposes of this blog, I intend to speak about our personal and spiritual vision for 2020.
What is the Other Angle For A 2020 Vision?
A vision is a picture you put in your mind, a mental image of what you want to be.
And it’s something you dream about, and it’s okay to daydream about it.
It’s okay to have the visions of what you want to be. Oprah Winfrey said, “Create the highest, grandest possible vision for your life because you become what you believe.” Since a vision is this mental picture, this is an ideal image of what you want to be, could be, and should be.
See, the problem is that many of us never take a minute to really think about what we truly want; if we could have anything.
We’re often too busy with the day to day ongoing of what’s happening in our lives.
We often lose touch with the ultimate vision or the things that we truly want. And we shouldn’t because the impact of a vision in our life is important.
One benefit is a clear sense of direction. Once you know where you’re going, it sure is easy to figure out what action will take you closer–using laser-like focus, action, and resolve.
With the clarity of purpose comes the ability to center your attention and efforts and you have less distraction and doubt.
Another benefit of having a 2020 vision is it gives you more options.
New opportunities will become available to you that you never had before and your mind will be more open to considering those possibilities.
A vision will help give you renewed energy, commitment, and passion. You’ll have a new excitement as you’re now dedicated to pursuing the things that you dream about that really motivate and inspire you.
Belief in yourself is another benefit of having a vision because you’ll be clear on what you really want. You become more confident and believe that you can achieve what you’ve always dreamed of.
And having a vision helps with life balance and confidence. It gives you direction, and purpose, and a greater sense of wellbeing and joy.
What’s at the Core for Your 2020 Vision
What it is that you believe in, what’s important to you. Your core values really determine who you are because it’s what you think is a priority in life. And the problem is that many of us don’t know what our core values really are, and so we don’t understand the importance of it.
We are not focused on our priorities and what’s important to us because maybe we don’t know what those core values are. It’s like, for example, if you work for a property management company and the company really wasn’t treating the residents right and it made you feel uncomfortable.
Well, that feeling of being uncomfortable strikes at something that you believe in, strikes at the core, strikes at your values. So what we want to do, is we want to discover what our values are so that they can help clarify our vision.
I try to do something like this every few years or so just to check in with myself, just to make sure that I’m clear on my values.
I know what’s important to me, and then I’m operating out of my value system. It always helps, makes things clear. So, when you get in that car, let your values sit right up there next to you. Let it steer the wheel while you put your foot on the gas.
Values are so important
In my upcoming event, you’re going to identify your core values. Consider the things in life that are really important to you and always be true to your moral principles or ethics.
